Roll-A-Reel HISTORY

Our founder, Leonard E. Shifres designed, manufactured and sold the first
Roll-A-Reel in 1945. Style 'A', our first product was soon joined by the Style 'B.'  Then came Style 'C' in 1972. Roll-A-Reels quickly became known as the best way for one man to safely handle REELS.

In the early days, Telephone Companies were our biggest customers. Today the Roll-A-Reel use has spread across many industries and has many thousands of highly varied applications.

Roll-A-Reels have been manufactured using the same quality construction and design since the company began manufacturing in 1945. We still make them red! Roll-A-Reel is one of the few products on the market that can truly boast, "WE DO MAKE THEM THE WAY WE USED TO"... with some quality improvements:

Roll-A-Reel platforms are powder coated  with the same red, instead of wet paint. Powder coating has proved to be a more environmentally friendly coating process, and makes for a better, longer lasing finish.

We have also found a stronger SIDE ROLLER that serves to enhance the product durability.

With many new manufacturing processes being implemented such as POWDER COATING, LASER SHAPE CUTTING and ROBOTIC WELDING, costs are being better managed. Roll-A-Reel believes these improvements MAINTAIN EXCELLENT QUALITY.

Reel handlers... Saving time safely since 1945 all over the world.
